The pupil premium has been paid to the school since April 2011. It has been allocated by the coalition government to children from lower-income families who are currently known to be eligible for free school meals (and from April 2012 for those who had free school meals at any stage in the last six years).
It is also paid to children who have been looked after or in care of the local authority for more than six months.
